Welcome to Living In Bliss!
My name is Kim, and I’m 30 years old, living in the Southwest with my husband and our two dogs. I started this blog as a means to keep in touch with family and friends (my husband is active duty military so we’re currently across the country from “home”) and basically discuss daily life. However, over time I have brought more focus to our first pregnancy and miscarriage in 2013, and the unfortunate struggle to conceive again. We are currently expecting our rainbow baby in May 2016!
This blog will basically chronicle my thoughts, activities, and experiences being a working army spouse dealing with fertility issues. I wouldn’t label this as a healthy lifestyle blog, but I’m certainly a fan of mindful nutrition and exercise as taking care of your body can affect many other areas of your life! I also love reading, crafting on a budget, cooking/baking, and watching movies. Super exciting life- I know 😉
I ultimately want to use this as an outlet to document our life beginning at our first duty station (Fort Bliss) and finding simply my place in the world. If anything, I can use this as a journal and look back on it for years to come 🙂
Here are some people that will be referred to often:
Tyler: My husband and my best friend. We met in early February of 2010 and have been inseparable ever since. Though were both in college when we met, he graduated in December 2010 and decided to go to Officer Candidate School (OCS). He left in early July of 2011, and we had a long distance relationship until June 2012. Seeing that life without me around all the time wasn’t that fun, he proposed in April 2012 during a short weekend trip to Oklahoma 😉 We married in June of 2012…no messing around with us 🙂 He currently serves as 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army. Tyler is obsessed with movies, loves history, and keeps up with the news like it’s his job (even celebrity gossip!); hates almost all fruits and veggies (huge bummer for me); and keeps me grounded with his logic and ability to not react on emotion. He may not be able to make a bed or get his laundry to the basket, but he’s more than I could have ever imagined.
My husband and I have 2 dogs- Stiffler (English Bulldog, nine years old) and Wrigley (Vizsla, three years old). I love them both, but Wrigley’s my baby boy.
I hope I didn’t scare anyone away yet. You probably won’t gain much from this blog aside from a glimpse into my life. I’m sarcastic and have a bad mouth, so hopefully I don’t offend too many people 😉 Thanks for stopping by- if you have any questions please post a comment or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
